THE OPPORTUNITY

UGL Utilities team are currently looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team in Perth.
Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and facilitation of the project’s quality assurance and control processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations related to quality.

Responsibilities

SOME KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

  • Provide technical advice on quality related activities, assist with data/document management, and prepare quality audit reports with corrective action recommendations.
  • Review and assist with inspection and testing plans, coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, and manage non-conformance trend analysis and quality alerts.
  • Understand and implement SHEQ project policies and applicable legislative requirements and maintain high standards for safety and quality compliance.
  • Review and document quality records for project conformance, prepare and present quality-related tools and trainings, develop and assist with project quality plans, and ensure compliance with quality system/software.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within utilities, energy, construction or large infrastructure sectors with demonstrated experience in quality management on large scale projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in managing Quality Management Systems for large complex construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, organise and prioritise demands, and handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously within a project environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, effective teamwork, and relationship building capabilities.
  • The successful applicant will be required to hold a current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) and undergo a medical assessment and police checks
