WFQ has a direct hire opportunity for a Quality Engineer position with our client located in Plymouth, MI.

JOB SUMMARY FOR THE QUALITY ENGINEER:

The Quality Engineer must have extensive experience in automotive LED lighting, injection molding, maintenance, GD&T, and provide quality assurance support to the product manufacturing teams for defects, and other potential issues to ensure that products meet customer specifications.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES FOR THE QUALITY ENGINEER:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Extensive knowledge of structures, welding, and machining.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to serve as a liaison between manufacturing, project managers, and customers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE FOR THE QUALITY ENGINEER:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline required.
• Five years of related experience required.
• Extensive knowledge of automotive LED lighting and injection molding
• Experience with optical measurement tools specific to lighting
• Experience with light intensity and color measurement (Lux meters and Spectrophotometers)
• Understanding of optics and reflector design
• Understanding electronic circuits for automotive lighting
• Understanding of PCB quality standards (IPC-A-610)

Physical Requirements for the Quality Engineer:

• Must have the ability and work at the customer’s location
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
