JOB DESCRIPTION
Work in a fast-paced environment assisting Quality Engineers by performing technical and administrative tasks, ensuring projects run smoothly and efficiently. Duties will be task oriented, performed with moderate oversight or prioritization by a higher authority, mildly sophisticated and unique in nature, and vary greatly in breadth and depth of content during day-to-day operations.
The Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit comprises the technical talent and organizational leadership that enables the successful delivery of high-impact discriminating technologies for our customers’ missions. What You’ll Do:
- Assist engineers with research, data collection, and analysis to support project development and implementation
- Prepare and maintain technical deliverables and reports, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
- Work closely with engineering teams to design, develop, test, and improve products and processes.
- Participate in hardware failure inspections and investigation, providing hands-on support to engineers.
- Review & approve First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102.
- Assist in reviewing and redlining, drawings, specifications, and procedures for completeness and compliance to contract requirements.
- Make continuous improvement suggestions, participate in projects in area of responsibility.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Working Conditions:
- This is a part-time position - 15-25 hours per week.
- Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
- May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
- May access other facilities in various weather conditions.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor’s or Master’s, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
