QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years in engineering and/or quality.
  • Knowledge of commercial heat treatment of automotive alloys.
  • Experience in Nadcap and/or automotive industry.
  • Familiarity with automotive specifications, ISO, AS, QS, and IATF 16949 quality systems.
  • AS9100 Lead Auditor certification.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt/Lean Manufacturing skills.
  • Understanding of QMS Principles.
  • Ability to read and understand customer specifications and drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action principles.
  • Ability to collaborate with staff, vendors, and customers.
  • Capability to mentor reports.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and accurate.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • High integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities
  • Apply updates to industry standards.
  • Implement changes to maintain AS9100, ISO9000, IATF 16949, and OEM standards.
  • Manage internal audits to meet industry and customer requirements.
  • Develop and oversee inspection standards and procedures, ensuring compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Authorize product/service release to customers.
  • Ensure effective and timely corrective and preventive actions.
  • Supervise Quality Department personnel.
  • Verify proper performance and documentation of inspections before product/service release.
  • Conduct Contract Review duties and provide training.
  • Identify and correct quality issues, initiate corrective actions, or halt non-compliant activities.
  • Ensure adherence to quality program requirements through audits and associate qualification.
  • Maintain supplier qualifications to meet quality standards.
  • Review shop cards before certification and shipment.
  • Oversee furnace surveys, equipment calibration, recall systems, and testing standards.
  • Use required personal protective equipment.
  • Perform duties safely, adhering to all safety and health rules (OSHA, MTI, and SDS Standards).
  • Perform related tasks as required or directed.
