Job Description Are you an experienced and proactive Quality, Health & Safety Specialist? We're looking for a dedicated individual to ensure compliance with regulations across our offshore O&M projects, primarily in the Nordics and Germany. As part of our team, you'll provide vital support to project teams, contributing to safety culture programs, conducting risk assessments, and overseeing complex offshore projects. O&M projects are focused on large scale projects required within our existing offshore O&M sites, spread across Vattenfall’s core countries. These projects would include activities such as Main Component Exchanges, Cable repairs / exchanges and working with construction vessels to execute these scopes. As QH&S Specialist – O&M projects within Offshore Wind you have the following key responsibilities: Provide ongoing support and advice to the project team to ensure compliance with relevant health and safety statutory obligations, codes and standards. Provide ongoing support and advice to the project team to ensure compliance with Vattenfall safety objectives, expectations, requirements and safety management system obligations. Provide support in executing the duties as required under the European Health and Safety Coordination regulations of each country and similar principles of the European Temporary Works Directive and UK Construction Design Management Regulations 2015. Contribute, support and where required lead in the implementation of the project safety culture program. Drive H&S risk management within the O&M projects organization, support the development of Risk Assessments / Method Statements (RAMS) and monitor it’s compliance to Health and Safety during execution of the O&M projects; Plan and Conduct drills/exercises to validate Emergency Response provisions across the project. Plan and execute Audit/Inspections to ensure that all activities under the project scope are assured. Oversee Incidents and safety observations and support in the satisfactory closeout of resultant actions. Investigate incidents and review external Investigation reports for acceptance, ensuring all resultant actions are closed satisfactorily. Contribute to health and safety in the selection and procurement of supply chain partners. Implement lessons learned, safety alerts and other health and safety aspects and learnings. Support the development and update of safety standards, instructions, codes and guidelines, and formalize them into company-documented practices as required. Ensure sharing and implementation of these across projects. Ensure maintenance of Health and Safety File information Ensure communication and cooperation between all parties and duty-holders. Communicate openly to actively engage with the wider Vattenfall community on health and safety. Support in the H&S component of contractor management processes (procurement, contractor performance evaluation, audits,…). Qualifications Qualifications Your profile / who are you? We are looking for a pro-active QH&S Specialist for our O&M Projects, who is able to focus on both people and business and has demonstrable experience in coaching teams in challenging environments. Experience with Offshore Wind O&M operations would be beneficial, where affinity with the offshore wind sector is preferred. You have proven experience as a H&S professional, preferably in Offshore Wind, energy or oil and gas sectors. You have a minimum level 3 qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (NEBOSH NGC or other equivalent H&S qualification) with an ambition to undergo further training and development. You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in an offshore project environment. You have a good technical understanding of the offshore wind environment with a strong, practical background. You have a good understanding of applicable legislation, codes, and standards related to health and safety within offshore and onshore construction project environments. Full and detailed understanding of applicable H&S related construction and design legislation (.e.g. H&S coordinator in Europe / CDM in UK); You must be able to demonstrate a flexible, practical and proactive approach to managing operational challenges. You have experience with H&S management systems and auditing. You have experience managing H&S in the supply chain. You have experience with Client / Contractor relationships & management. You have a strong command of the English language both verbal and written. Ability to interact productively within an offshore team across client, contractor, supplier, subcontractor and internal interfaces. Ideally have a working knowledge in compliance with Marine Coordination, Wind Turbine Safety Rules, High Voltage Safety from the System or other Electrical and mechanical Safe System of Work in Wind Farms.
