Salary Details: The salary range for this position is CAD $45.48/Hr. - CAD $65.38/Hr. Job Summary:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s Degree in Health Administration, Health Planning, Business Administration or Behavioural Sciences, supplemented by postgraduate course work in health care planning or health policy development and analysis.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years’ recent, related experience in utilizing methodologies and tools to support process improvement and system redesign, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (ASQ or recognized institution) or PMP/CaPM/PMI-SP are assets.
  • In this role, travel within the local and geographic area may require the use of a vehicle.

KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of and experience with quality improvement methodologies (Model for Improvement, LEAN, Six Sigma), techniques (measurement, learning models, change management theory, influencing techniques) and tools (e.g., process mapping, workflow diagrams, system monitoring and evaluation, PDSA cycles, data display with run and control charts).
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate solution-focused approaches through innovation and creativity.
  • Demonstrated leadership, facilitation and coaching skills.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to work with and support medical staff and clinicians.
  • Ability to understand unique professional differences and how to encourage professions to work together towards a common goal.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage, develop partnerships and collaborate with a broad range of key partners.
  • Knowledgeable in the framework and application of International Association for Public Participation (IAP2)
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with key internal and external partners to promote and enhance services provided with sensitivity to diversity and indigenous lens.
  • Practices the recognition, inclusion and support of all types and aspects of diversity at all stages of engagement, with an understanding of the issues faced by people from equity-deserving groups.
  • Ability to maintain professional competency with a customer-service lens.
  • Possesses sound interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally, and in writing.
  • Displays comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and methodologies, and is able to coach team members on these skills.
  • Utilizes initiative, vision, independent thinking and creative problem-solving abilities to implement project plans and realize project completion.
  • Works effectively under time pressure to meet deadlines, balances work priorities and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
    Closing Statement:
    As per Ministry of Health policy, all health care workers working in publicly-funded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections. Collecting these records will allow for offering of any missing vaccines, and for appropriate actions to be taken in the event of any future exposure to a communicable disease or during outbreaks. For all new hires and appointments to Vancouver Coastal Health, you will be asked to provide this information as part of the onboarding process.
