The Quality Outcomes RN is a skilled professional nurse responsible for collecting, screening, and analyzing data that profiles the appropriateness, utilization management, quality and outcome of patient care provided by the healthcare team. Data abstraction and process improvement will occur concurrently and retrospectively to evaluate the quality of patient care. This individual is also responsible for utilizing clinical expertise to analyze and evaluate medical records to ensure physician documentation accurately reflects medical services provided so that appropriate coding occurs. This individual will possess excellent clinical judgment in related care and outcomes management and will be expected to perform in a leadership role within the Quality Improvement Process supporting the philosophy and core values of the Community Health Network. Exceptional Skills and Qualifications · Ability to independently manage time and priorities, independently resolve problems, and to establish partnerships with customers to accomplish the goals of the work. · Ability to understand and operationalize quality improvement philosophy, principles, and technology. · Detailed knowledge of specific data requirements as defined by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Service (CMS), Society of Thoracic Surgery (STS), American College of Cardiology (ACC), Society for Vascular Surgery Patient Safety Organization (SVS PSO), Joint Commission Accreditation of Hospital Organization (TJC), American College of Surgeons National Surgery Quality Improvement Program (ACS NSQIP), Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MSBAQIP) and other designated sources. · 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred) · Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited school of nursing or three years of related professional nursing experience. (Required) · Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) (Required) · 5+ years: Minimum of five (5) years clinical experience (Required)
