Description:
If you have a passion for using data to create insight that contributes to the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) being a great place to work, then this Quality Information Analyst role is for you. The NHSBSA is leading an important Future NHS Workforce Solution Transformation Programme to provide our NHS workforce with an efficient, fit for purpose platform. Our ambition is to deliver a new and transformational workforce solution.
A key element of this role is taking the highly complex data of the programme and presenting this in a way that will suit the diverse needs of different audiences. The data you present will be used to advise and provide insight to support programme decisions, giving you an excellent opportunity to support the direction of the programme and become a key part of the team. Your responsibilities will play across the entire analytical spectrum; from maintaining technical solutions, handling complex data sets, analysis, insight, producing visualisations, to engaging with colleagues. You will have a strong experiential work background and passion for helping others to be better data-informed. You will bring a breadth of skills with expertise on both the technical complexities of the role and engaging with people and building relationships.
Our approach to finding the right person for this role will involve virtual interviews as well as a skills assessment.

Gathering data and intelligence from a variety of sources in order to inform decision making in the programme and aid in the implementation of the new solution.
Analyse various quantitative and qualitative data sources and produce dashboards.
Support the production of data packs for different audiences.
Identify themes and trends in data relevant to the new solution.
Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation, including the current ESR optimisation project team.
Support in identifying additional relevant data sources to aid in achieving objectives.

We are people connected to care
The post holder supports the ESR Transformation programme by delivering a high-quality information and data analysis capability to support and underpin information needs for the programme. The post holder will be responsible for supporting the data collection and analysis across the Transformation and Change function of the programme.
In this role you would be expected to develop and analyse data sets to facilitate a deeper understanding of organisations and system state of readiness as well as data to support areas such as benefits identification and rollout strategy.
Using advanced analysis, interpretation and presentation of complex data and information, the post holder will support business decisions and make recommendations for the Transformation and Change workstream including working with both internal and external stakeholders as well as future suppliers of the future NHS workforce solution.
In this role, you are accountable for
1. Handling large datasets with a clear understanding of how to clean, process, analyse, and visualise data.
2. Accessing and developing systems to collect, collate, analyse, and retain all forms of quality data and management information.
3. Delivering analytical products required to support the reporting of management information and insight alongside producing and maintaining the reporting suite that delivers quality information to the programme.
4. Conducting advanced analysis, interpretation, and presentation of complex data to create compelling evidence-based and actionable data stories to share with stakeholders to support decision making.
5. Collating and analysing data to provide data packs for the supplier of the future NHS workforce solution that will both inform and enable future stages of the programme and rollout.
6. Communicating complex and, at times, sensitive data, and analysis affectively at all levels, to both technical and non-technical audiences either verbally or in writing. Ensuring the information provided is accessible and understandable and conforms to high standards.
7. Working as part of, or with, the various teams across Transformation and Change to support these teams to achieve objectives. In particular working with Enabling Readiness and Optimisation teams to deliver quality data and analysis.
8. Representing the organisation as a data/business expert with internal and external customers.
9. Maintaining and adapting any web-based electronic reporting system environments in line with customer requirements.
10. Supporting training and advice across the service in relation to the appropriate usage and understanding of the performance analysis data.
11. Ensuring the integrity of the data and all reports and information requests are quality checked in conjunction with business experts and Statisticians, where appropriate.
12. Working collaboratively with a diverse range of customers/users within the organisation, the NHS and external organisations to define and develop new information products and enhance the existing information provision. Working closely with third party suppliers where appropriate.
13. Participating in user acceptance testing for new or changed information systems.
14. Working with project teams to procure, implement and validate appropriate analytics tools against identified performance measurement frameworks.
15. Informing the iterative design of the future NHS workforce solution to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and accuracy.
16. Provide challenge from a data perspective and collaborating with other data, digital and analytical professions to provide collective insights.
17. Undertaking such other duties as may be required commensurate with grade, training, and experience.
