SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the Quality Inspector/Administrator monitors, conducts and maintains essential Quality Department functions. Performs in-process inspections (torque witness, electrical crimp connectors, etc.). Performs final inspection of completed products and sub-assemblies. Maintains all quality related documentation by processing, filing, and/or creating documentation. Responsible for maintaining the document control and process alert systems as well as other tasks deemed vital to improving the satisfaction of Paragon Products’ customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary responsibilities

  • Perform In-Process and Final Inspections for both Mechanical and Electrical Assemblies
  • Maintain Documentation Control System
  • Assist in Maintaining Process Alert System
  • Asist in Mechanical Receiving Inspection
  • Assist in the Internal Audit System by:
  • Performing Quality Audits
  • Maintaining Audit Records
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager

Secondary Duties

  • Record Quality Tags into Access
  • Sorting of parts for Quality Issues

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic understanding of quality control principles and inspection techniques
Familiarity with mechanical and/or electrical components preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures
Basic knowledge of measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) is an asset
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications is a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn and grow in a quality assurance environment
Organizational skills to maintain documentation and records accurately
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School or equivalent. Able to work safely in a shop environment.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must have basic computer skill and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Software (Excel and Word). ERP/MRP experience desired but not required.
