Description:

AVT Beckett Elevator is looking for an individual who is a self-starter capable of thriving in a fast paced, constantly evolving environment and who is highly interested in taking up the position of Quality Control Inspector. This individual will report to the Quality Assurance Specialist.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Min 1 year experience in a quality inspection role preferably within a Manufacturing environment.
  • Good technical/mechanical aptitude.
  • Sound understanding of Manufacturing Processes.
  • Proficient in using tape Measure, Calipers.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills sets.
  • Secondary High School Diploma or Post-Secondary Certificate as a Mechanical, Quality Technician/Technical discipline

Responsibilities:

  • Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and qualification reviews; collaborating with Quality Assurance Specialist on vendor return actions.
  • Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; reporting data to the Quality Assurance Specialist for the quality database.
  • Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions, calling for repairs. Internal calibration of measuring tools (Calipers)
  • Perform production and warehouse audits (Packaging/Crating Dock)
  • Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Inventory Reporting reconciliation support
  • Support the Health & Safety Program by taking action to implement improvements. * Execute inspection policy/procedures qualifying product adherence to company specifications/standards.
  • Make crucial decisions in favor of cost-efficiency without compromising on quality
