We are BIG ENOUGH TO SERVE, and SMALL ENOUGH TO CARE. **This position is located onsite in Southington, CT** SUMMARY: The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspection of cutting tools by reading prints and inspecting tools by using micrometers, calipers, comparators, indicators and other measuring tools/machines, to ensure that they meet quality standards.     ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  * Personally exhibits, recruits and coach's associates consistent with Core Behaviors * Responsible for promoting culture of safety * Perform final quality inspection of finished products in accordance with the established procedures * Report all instances of rejected product or raw materials problems to management * Inspect incoming raw materials as materials are received * Document appropriate information for quality inspection reports for each order * Create and maintain current files for all quality related correspondence * Work with shop floor supervisor to review internal rejects from the shop floor * Report any unusual discrepancies or problems promptly to management * Perform internal quality audits * Perform other related duties as assigned * Knowledge and ability to use micrometers, vernier caliper, radius gages and other video inspection equipment * Competent with applying math skills/tool geometry   SKILLS:   * Knowledge of cutting tools * Excellent math aptitude * Excellent customer service skills * Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills * Diplomatic and professional when resolving issues * Work well under pressure, and have exceptional time management skills * Self-motivated and able to work independently * Must be able to follow instructions in a fast paced, flexible environment   EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:   * High School Diploma or equivalent required * Prior experience inspecting aerospace cutting tools preferred   CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:  * None required   WORK ENVIRONMENT:  * Employee is regularly required to speak and hear English, stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. Employees are required to use computers and other equipment. * Employees frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
