QUALITY INSPECTOR VACANCY - TEMPORARY ROLE

Our prestigious client based in Bury (BL9 Postcode area) is URGENTLY seeking a Quality Inspector to work within their Textile factory, where you will be helping to Inspect fabric products which make Airbag systems for automotive vehicles. This Quality Inspector role is a temporary position with the potential to become permanent upon successful completion of the probationary period.

QUALITY INSPECTOR ROLE:

As the Quality Inspector you will be inspecting fabric on dedicated inspection frames following standards and specifications set out by customers. At all times having safety, quality, and efficiency in mind.
Once the textile Machines have created the fabric for vehicle airbags, the inspector is responsible for checking the finished products for any imperfection’s in the product. For example, stray fabric, broken material and damaged material. The finished product is rolled onto large coils and a bright light is beamed onto the fabric to help see the imperfections.

QUALITY INSPECTOR DUTIES:

  • Upkeep and inline adjustment to barcode system.
  • Perform such duties as may be required by supervision.
  • Work to schedule dictated by Priorities and/or Supervisor.
  • Strive to achieve target production output without detriment to fabric quality.
  • Doff/Unload rolls.
  • Load Fabric into inspection frames - (as required).
  • Wrap rolls.
  • Palletize Rolls.
  • Transport pallets/rolls to storage.
  • Set up barcode print parameters.
  • Use AS400 (Computer Input System) to record and split inventory.
  • Work within a flexible team structure to achieve targets on a daily basis.
  • Fill out paperwork for shift handover/production monitoring.
  • Ability to memorize and reference fault standards in order to grade cloth.
