OVERVIEW

A growing multi-site manufacturer serving the Industrial, Medical, and Defense markets is seeking a motivated Lead Quality Inspector. This role will support the Quality Management System, ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards, and drive process improvements across operations.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Lead Quality Inspector acts as a key liaison between quality, engineering, production, and customers. The role involves performing inspections, managing calibration systems, supporting audits, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing or quality inspection (ISO 9001 preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading
  • Hands-on experience with CMM (PC-DMIS preferred)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and ERP systems (Epicor a plus)
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

    Pay: $55,210.89 - $85,286.23 per year

Responsibilities
  • Perform First Article, In-Process, and Final Inspections
  • Interpret engineering drawings/blueprints with GD&T
  • Support supplier development and monitor vendor quality and delivery performance
  • Facilitate root cause investigations, corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), and customer complaint resolution
  • Participate in APQP, PPAP, and Change Control activities
  • Maintain calibration records and manage inspection/test fixtures
  • Prepare quality reports, work instructions, and related documentation
