Our location in Simpsonville, SC is currently seeking excellent candidates for:
JOB DESCRIPTION
You will be responsible for performing dimensional and visual inspections and the associated quality reports on castings, machined metal and plastic parts for workmanship and conformance to design documentation in 2d or 3D format. Requirements are to be interpreted from design / process drawings, procedures and specifications. Data analyzed from these inspection operations are documented in quality and nonconformance reports. Responsible for ensuring product meets customer requirements.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent with experience OR associate’s degree
Working knowledge of GD&T, AS9102 FAIRs, and all facets of inspection measuring equipment
Previous experience as Quality Inspector or DQR in an Aerospace manufacturing environment a plus
Strong communication skills, ability to work on a team, and attention to detail
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products, related business applications and office equipment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s degree or equivalent knowledge to obtain expertise in departmental inspection equipment, and processes, and other Quality objectives
5-10 years’ Aerospace inspection in a machine shop environment
Familiarity with Process Improvement
