Job Summary The Quality inspector is responsible for ensuring that products, materials, and services provided meet the requirements established by customers, procedures, and specifications. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Accurately use common measurement tools, such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc. Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, procedures and work instructions. Use statistical sampling plans, such ASQ-ANSIZ1.4 or similar. Understand the ISO9001/AS9100 and how it applies to a Quality Control position. Match colors, textures and appearances to established standards. Verify the proper functionality of final assemblies. Ability to work as a team, both within and outside of the department. Must be able to follow instructions (Written and Verbal) and work independently with minimal supervision and minimal mistakes Understanding of Geometric Dimensions & Tolerances. Understanding of calibration and calibration systems. Intermediate computer skills, such as the ability to navigate Windows operating systems and ERP Transportation: Ability to travel between Harper Facilities when required without prior notice. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Sit for extended periods of time, full dexterity to reach, push, pull complex assemblies Perform Receiving, In-Process and Final Inspections Perform AS9102 based First Article Inspections Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Required Knowledge and Skills: Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Have strong communications skills Be able to work under high pressure and be able to meet deadlines Must have intermediate computer skills, such as the ability to navigate Windows operating systems and ERP Must be able to work independently Be Team oriented and be able to work with all levels of employees Must be attentive and maintain 98% quality rating Education and Experience High school diploma or GED 5 years minimum of directly related experience Work Environment / Physical Demands: Primarily production floor environment Often exposed to loud, bustling or dusty environments Regularly required to sit and stand. Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance. Occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. Must be able to regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 / hour
