Description Perform quality control & quality assurance inspections, checks, and tests (mechanical and electrical) of power control buildings, equipment centers and enclosures at different stages of completion. Record observed non-conformities/defects/ discrepancies and ensures rework is completed satisfactorily before product moves on to next step in the process. Inspect products utilizing knowledge and familiarity of standards and codes such as: National Electric Code, CSA, building codes, UL, NEMA, IEEE, SSPC, NACE, AWS, CWB Provide appropriate paperwork to truck driver and authorize release prior to product shipping. Plan and accomplish goals set forth by Quality Manager. Communicate and assist with 2nd and 3rd party inspectors and customers during factory acceptance tests and inspections. Collaborate with various levels of management and personnel. May perform field service/advisory/consultant services at customer job sites as assigned by Quality Manager. Reduce production defects by driving continuous improvement of processes to ensure quality of products and services to meet or exceed customer requirements Utilize quality metrics to improve and document procedures while driving standardization Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others Keep materials and work area clean, organized, and free from clutter, or any potential safety hazards. Perform additional duties as requested. Coach, train and develop employee skills to improve performance of staff and operation. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational school Associates or Bachelors’ degree in a related technical field is a plus 2-4 years of related experience ISO Certified Auditor (preferred) Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Software Experience working in industrial electrical field. Experience with metal fabrication operations. Knowledge of standards/codes as they apply to manufacturing Customer service background. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to analyze situations and make decisions. ASQ, AWS, CWI or CWS, Master Electrician, NACE Certification are desired
