Leidos Electronics Manufacturing is seeking a talented Quality Inspector. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions. Leidos is involved in multiple contracts to provide hardware and systems for high energy weapons, launchers, Hypersonics, and target surrogates for several DoD customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidate must possess a High School Diploma/GED with 3-5 years of experience in an ISO9001/AS9100 system or equivalent experience in DOD, Aerospace, or Automotive manufacturing quality control.
  • Candidate must have working knowledge of IPC-a-610 and IPC-J-STD-001
  • Candidate must have experience working with non-conforming material, performing failure analysis, identifying root cause and implementing corrective action.
  • Must have experience reviewing work instructions for accuracy and completeness and implementing QMS documentation associated with AS9100.
  • Candidate must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
  • The position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Candidates must be a resident of North Alabama or willing to relocate to the area.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain/maintain a final secret security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
  • Prefer knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-J-STD-001 Space Addendum

Responsibilities
  • Inspect components, soldering and assembled mechanical parts.
  • Must be able to read and understand assembly instructions.
  • Perform Internal AS9100 audits.
  • Write Non-conformance and start investigation to root cause.
