JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a responsible Quality Inspector to check the quality of all incoming and outgoing material and products and production procedures. You will be a firm advocate of quality in our business. The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. In-depth knowledge and comprehension of quality standards is essential. The goal is to ensure that our products are made of flawless materials with well-functioning equipment. That way our customers will enjoy high-quality merchandise so that we can achieve long-term success.

SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Proven experience as a quality inspector or relevant role
  • A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
  • Responsible and trustworthy
  • Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies
  • Working knowledge of MS Office

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination
  • No visual impairment that would affect color vision, depth perception, ability to adjust and focus.
  • No restrictions preventing the ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  • Able to support and cross train between departments as business needs require.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma (Preferable)
  • Minimum of 1 year experience
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities
  • Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance.
  • Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications, etc.).
  • Maintain records of testing, information, and various metrics such as number of defective products per day.
  • Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards.
  • Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and well-maintained and discard any that doesn’t meet requirements.
  • Perform rework on parts that do not meet quality specifications, including minor repairs and adjustments to ensure conformity.
  • Utilize tools such as heat guns and other hand tools to aid in rework or assembly processes as required.
  • Visually inspect parts for color consistency, surface finish, and paint quality; requires precise hand-eye coordination and ability to analyze subtle differences in color and texture.
  • Perform touch-up painting using water-based paint solutions to correct minor defects.
  • Operate hand-held tools that may produce prolonged vibration; must be able to withstand continuous hand-to-hand vibration during inspection or rework processes.
  • Rotate job duties with other staff members to support team flexibility and meet business needs.
  • Prepare and submit reports to the quality supervisor.
