Description
Inspect and Hi-Pot switchboard product produced on all lines, according to inspection work instructions and in accordance with applicable governmental requirements, to confirm proper function of switchboards and electrical components, identify any product non-conformances, and ensure it meets customer specification, safety and quality requirements. Document inspections made on applicable checklist. Use Hi-Pot, continuity test, and component-specific testing devices to perform electrical testing. Verify switches and circuit breakers function properly. Verify torqued connections using torque wrench, per inspection instructions. Troubleshoot, update, develop test setups and new procedures when current procedures are inaccurate. Must have a High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution. Minimum of 6 months manufacturing, production, or military experience OR a degree in a technical discipline Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Two or more years of experience in a Quality or Inspector position in a manufacturing environment. Experience in switchboard assembly. Computer literate. Working knowledge of Lean concepts. Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or Electronics. Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem-solving skills. Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within a team environment. Knowledge of basic electricity, current flow, and component functionality schematics/wiring diagrams and assembly processes on all lines. (Hi-Pot, Shunt Trip). Knowledge of all assembled SWBD product designs (i.e. PRL-C, PRL-I, IFS, FDS, MF, etc.) Experience in applicable UL codes, NEC codes, regional utility codes, customer-specific requirements. Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret manufacturing documents, including front view, MIs, Blow-Thru, Wiring Diagrams, component literature, engineering drawings, and testing procedures. Requires thorough knowledge of basic electricity, current flow and component functionality
