Overview:
Quality Inspector
The Quality Inspector check that machined parts conform to the data on customer orders.

Responsibilities:

  • Sort order crates according to deadlines.
  • Inspect parts for conformity with drawings and other order-specific requirements.
  • Sort out the parts to be stored and the rest to be shipped (return shipments to packaging).
  • Enter data into the system: order number, quantity of parts and fill in the inspection sheets afterwards.
  • Inspect parts delivered by external companies.
  • Record the number of defective parts in the system and inform the coordinators.
  • Carry out special processing and assembly of parts:
  • gluing aviation parts
  • impregnate carbon parts with aviation oil
  • mark parts with white ink or
  • engrave parts if requested in the order
  • Produce dimensional certificates manually on request
  • Produce special F.A.I.R. type dimensional certificates if requested.
  • Complaints handling :

    a. Initial investigation on the day the complaint is registered to check the stock in progress, the WIP (production in progress) or the parts being shipped in order to avoid ‘over-complaints’-Record this initial investigation in the system.

    b. When the parts rejected by the customer are returned: validate the justification for the complaint and complete the investigation in the system with the coordinators.

  • Clean the parts required for ultra-sound.

  • Comply with safety and environmental instructions
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks required.
  • Respect the quality management procedure ISO 9100 and the internal rules.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in similar roles.
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Proficient in ERP standard.
  • Office package including Excel at advanced level.
  • English is a plus.

The Seals and Bearings business of Morgan Advanced Materials makes high-performance self-lubricating bearing and seal components, predominantly used in pumps, industrial and domestic, or other sealing applications.
