OMC Technologies DAC are looking to recruit a Quality Inspector in both mild-steel and stainless fabrication to work in our Ballysimon, Limerick based workshop.
This role will involve:
To assist the Production Team and the overall Management Team to ensures that products meet required standards, specifications, and regulations. This role involves inspecting raw materials, production processes, and finished goods to maintain high quality and prevent defects.
Daily tasks would include:
· Ensure products meet ISO 9001, ASTM, ASME, and industry-specific standards.
· Check material certifications (mill test reports, MTRs) for compliance
and report non-conforming materials and recommend corrective actions.
· Ensure proper labelling and traceability of materials.
· Monitor production processes to reduce defects and improve efficiency.
· Conducting in-process inspection of items undergoing fabrication.
· Prepare quality control reports and communicate findings to Production Teams
· Coalition of quality documentation packs for issue to clients.
· Coalition and reporting of quality data to the Compliance Manager for audit purposes.
· Support Project Managers and site supervisors in relation to quality performance.
· Support the Compliance Manager in the investigation of quality issues, NC’s and CAPA’s.
· Train workers on quality standards and best practices.
· Ensure that safety protocols are followed during inspections.
· Identify potential hazards related to material handling, welding, or chemical treatments.
· Any other duties as may be required from time to time.
Our quality inspector is tasked to ensure we deliver high end projects for some of Ireland’s premier construction projects and as such require a high level of attention to detail, an ability to problem solve and work under time constraints with minimum supervision.
