Description Hudson Deep Draw in Ormond Beach, Florida is looking to fill the role of Quality Inspector for our day shift with hours of 5:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Thursday. PURPOSE OF THE JOB The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that deep draw metal stamping products meet customer specifications, engineering requirements, and internal quality standards. This position performs dimensional inspections, verifies compliance with GD&T requirements, conducts first piece inspections in-process and final inspections, and supports continuous improvement initiatives within a lean manufacturing environment. Requirements ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES · Perform first piece inspection in-process, first article, and final inspections on deep draw stamped components. · Interpret and inspect parts to engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements. · Utilize precision measuring instruments including: · Calipers (digital and dial) · Micrometers · Height gauges · Optical comparator · Thread gauges · Pin gauges · Surface plate and related tools · Ability to learn and understand training for optical CMM’s such as Keyence and smart scopes. · Conduct visual inspections for surface defects, burs, cracks, and cosmetic issues. · Document inspection results accurately and maintain quality records in accordance with company procedures. · Identify non-conforming products and initiate proper containment and reporting procedures. · Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action activities. · Support documentation and First Article Inspection (FAI) processes as required. · Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues. · Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives. · Maintain compliance with AS9100. ISO14385 and customer-specific quality standards. · Follow all safety and housekeeping standards. Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives. Educational Requirements Experience Requirements Associate’s degree in quality field or Technical Experience: 1 year in quality field, with a Equivalent experience. Industry Experience: Experience in deep draw stamping preferred. Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
