Description
Description The Quality Inspector will be responsible for reviewing products and materials during manufacturing to make sure they meet company requirements. Their duties include measuring objects compared to their intended specifications, running quality tests and identifying defects. Responsibilities: Perform incoming inspection, semi-finished product inspection, and quality acceptance/rejection documentation and records activities. Work with purchasing and manufacturing to approve the quality of raw materials before manufacturing begins. Identify nonconformities in both the product and supporting documentation. Test the performance of materials to determine if it meets manufacturer and industry standards. Support the established QMS/QA processes and as needed work the internal resources to recommend change to maintain high quality processes. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. One year of hands-on-experience in a quality manufacturing role, preferred. Skills & Abilities: Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, datasheets, plus verbal and written work instructions. Ability to understand and use Microsoft Office 365, and specifically excel and excel functions. Highly motivated self-starter capable of working independently and in group settings. Organized and able to multi-task. Attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures. Work Environment: Some lifting up to 30 pounds may be required. Regular use of a computer is required. Employees regularly stand for several hours per shift. Regularly required to speak and hear clearly, both in person and by telephone. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read and interpret information and documents. Performs detailed work on multiple concurrent projects. Must be able to identify and determine colors. Primarily engineering, laboratories, and shop environments. May work in areas where noise and temperature levels are elevated.
