DESCRIPTION:

• Work under the supervision of the Quality Control Supervisor. Perform a wide variety of task relating to inspection and testing (at incoming/ final/ in-process) to ensure quality product to customers.

• Perform inspection duties to ensure conformance with established company quality standards in accordance with established procedures and methods
• Set up fixturing, test set-up and test equipment as needed
• Accurately complete all paperwork required at the completion of each operation
• Generate reports and assemble test data packages to be delivered to customers and/or internal personnel
• Report any discrepancies or unusual situations to the supervisor or through Material Review Board (MRB).
• Effectively communicate with supervisors, operators, technicians, and all other personnel
• Assist inspection personnel with specialized tests as requested by the supervisor
• Conduct First Article Inspections and Tests in accordance with AS9102 and/or customer/market requirements
• Review customer specifications for performance inspections and tests
• Report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to supervisor
• Awareness of relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions documentation
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
• May assist with cross-training of quality control inspectors
• Compliance and participation in all Smiths Connectors EHS programs, policies, procedures and training requirements
• Perform other related and associated duties as required or directed
