Description Position Summary: The Quality Inspector is responsible for the inspection/testing of final assembly radios, the documentation of defects, data collection and reporting. The QA Inspector will work closely with the QA Manager to provide accurate reporting, charts, graphs etc. to monitor and improve product quality. The successful candidate must have the ability to work quickly and efficiently with a high level of precision, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be detailed oriented, have the ability to work independently, and be flexible to rapidly changing conditions. This is a temporary position for up to six months. Duties and Responsibilities: o Inspection and testing of incoming materials, sub-assemblies and in-process radios o Ability to read and understand drawings, test procedures and work instructions o Ability to use basic measurement tools. o Inspection of raw materials, sub-assemblies and finished product for form, fit and function in accordance to mechanical drawings, work instructions and procedures o Ensure that non-conforming material is identified and segregated and reported o Provide daily reports and input to assist in quality improvement activities o Drive objectives and make judgment calls with safety, quality and performance always in mind o All duties as assigned by Supervisor Requirements Knowledge & Skills: o Strong Excel, Access, MS Word, Power Point, skills required o Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills o Good analytical skills o Very detail-oriented, accurate and organized o Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines o Able to work independently and as part of a team o Confidentiality and Time Management Qualifications: o Previous visual inspection and testing skills with the ability to use test and measuring equipment. o Ability to read and interpret basic operating procedures, BOM, work instructions. o Ability to complete visual inspection of raw materials, sub-assemblies and finished product o Strong written and oral communication skills. o Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. o Good vision and/or corrected vision with ability to use micro-scopes and other visual aids. o Work independently, and be flexible to rapidly changing conditions. Working Conditions & Physical Demands: o Work typically takes place in a normal office environment requiring o Sitting, walking, lifting, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, talking, hearing, and seeing o Operating a PC and other office equipment o Travel between floors and office buildings may be required o Environment conditions; noise, vibration, oils, solvents, chemicals
