Description

This position is a DIRECT HIRE ROLE from day one

Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-process, final, and receiving inspections of mechanical parts and assemblies
  • Utilize blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and technical drawings to verify part conformance
  • Conduct inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, hand tools, and vision systems
  • Inspect a variety of machined, received and finished parts.
  • Check required quantities, dimensions and/or characteristics, locations and finishes; check gauging, prints and charts for accuracy.
  • Complete nonconformity information and discrepancy reports on defects found at required inspection stages
  • Work from written instructions, prints, specifications, formulas, statistical data, and verbal instructions
  • Record inspection results in accordance with Good Documentation Practices
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve non-conformances
  • Work with department associates as a team to assure that customer requirements are met, and services are provided in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and assist with documentation for quality audits
  • Collect gages due for monthly calibration

Qualifications:

  • Experienced in operating and programing CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) a plus
  • Certified Quality Inspector a plus
  • Experience in mechanical inspection, preferably in the medical device or other precision manufacturing industries
  • Ability to calibrate machines to expectations of the customer
  • Skilled in interpreting drawings and applying GD&T
  • Familiar with using hand inspection tools and vision systems
  • Ability to train others in the use of dial indicators, comparator, CMM
  • Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft office)
  • Working knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA/GMP is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies and tools.

Hours are:
Monday through Friday – First shift
The pay is up to $35.00 an hour based on experience
