Who will you be working with?
You will work closely with the materials planner and other project team members to ensure a seamless material supply to the repair line upon request.
How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Quality Team, you will facilitate the monitoring and improvement of internal (manufacturing) product and process quality. The role is responsible to conduct quality inspections (including testing) to ensure that the final products meet Wabtec product requirements and specifications.
What do we want to know about you?

Education:

  • Must have a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
  • Two years of college or diploma is preferred or some technical school education with one year of related experience and/or training in manufacturing.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ working experience in a quality management environment.
  • Quality Auditing
  • Experience in the use of inspection, measuring and testing equipment.
  • Experience in an ISO 9001 Quality System
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess strong willingness to learn, improve and adapt.
  • Ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively without supervision.
  • Computer literate Excel, Word, Outlook

What will your typical day look like?

Job Responsibilities:

  • Locomotive inbound and outbound inspection
  • Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
  • Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
  • Document’s inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
  • Record results of inspections (including testing where required) accurately and submit the completed records to the relevant parties.
  • Reporting and documentation of quality rejections in accordance with the Wabtec Quality procedures.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for quality control.
  • Quality administration, Documenting defects and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Preparing and presenting quality audit reports to senior management
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours outside of the normally schedule shift times.
