Description
POSITION OVERVIEW Reporting to the Supervisor of Quality Control, the Quality Inspector is responsible for the first & final visual, and manual inspection of all machined parts. The owner will also have the responsibility to generate the certificates of conformance, and submit quality control nonconformity reports, and corrective actions requests. Part time weekend (Saturday and Sunday) day shift of 10 hours. A premium of $2.50/hour applies to hours worked on Saturday and Sunday! KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Perform incoming, in-process, first article (FAI), and final inspections of machined parts and materials to ensure compliance with drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards; support machinists with in-process inspections and technical clarification as needed. * Identify, document, and communicate non-conformities; initiate and manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective action requests (CARs), and support root cause analysis and resolution. * Complete and maintain all required quality documentation, including FAI reports, Certificates of Conformity (CoC), inspection records, and ERP (JobBoss) entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal procedures and customer requirements. * Review and verify all quality documentation prior to product release; and ensure all necessary approvals and sign-offs are obtained. * Maintain organized records by scanning, filing, and archiving documentation; collaborate with and support continuous improvement and other quality-related initiatives as needed. QUALIFICATIONS * Diploma or certification in Quality Control, or equivalent hands-on experience in CNC or conventional machining, combined with 2–3 years of experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing environment (aerospace experience is an asset). * Strong knowledge of inspection tools and measurement techniques, experience with a CMM experience is an asset. * The ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100;  * Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., JobBoss) and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook),   * Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and documentation skills. * Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and communicate clearly in both French and English (written and spoken). * The duties, responsibilities and qualification described in this document are not a comprehensive list.
