About the role
Become part of the first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years! Join our Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick team as an Welding Quality Inspector on the Hinkley Point Project and develop with this amazing project.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing

  • Monitoring and reporting compliance with quality standards andprocedures all installation, calibration and testing processes of electrical andinstrumentation scope.
  • Recommend methods to improve overall quality and assists inanalysing quality concerns. Monitor and assist construction to achieve quality standards.
  • Perform inspections in accordance with the ITP (Inspection and Test Plan).
  • Liaise with client’s representative for conducting of day to day inspection during the construction activities.
  • Ensure installation of equipment is in compliance with ECS Code, drawings, vendor and code requirements with respect to; material, alignment, etc.
  • Assist QC Manager and Area Leads in executing their responsibilities.
  • Maintaining LTQR’s as required during inspections ensuring all signatures on LTQR and ITP during inspection.
  • Updating SONIM register as required.
  • Champion Foreign Material Exclusion, preventing ingress or entrapment of non-specified materials, loose items or debris in equipment and /or systems duringassembly and testing
