About us Dyson is a global technology enterprise. We solve the problems others choose to ignore, with surprising new inventions that defy convention and simply work better. We’re driven by progress and thrive on the challenge of relentless improvement. We’re growing fast and our ambition is huge – more categories, more locations and more people. Our scale and rapid growth make Dyson rich in new opportunities. We value new ideas and diverse perspectives, so our people are trusted with real work and responsibility from the outset. You’ll develop fast and have the chance to move into different business areas and regions. And you’ll be part of a global network of like-minded people – a community that supports and learns from each other. At Dyson we do things differently. We look for the brightest new graduates with the right attitude to thrive in our unique culture. We offer real jobs with real salaries and real prospects. We need self-starters, people who are motivated and drive themselves forward. You can’t sit back and wait to be told what to do. You will have autonomy and freedom to excel and will be pushed forward to become our future leaders. About the role We push the boundaries of what others have defined as possible. Our engineering approach starts with different thinking. Then we continuously refine our ideas – unwilling to compromise and driven by an obsession for finding a better way. Today we employ more than 5,800 people around the world in software engineering, mechanical engineering and science related roles. You will be working as part of a larger project team and have your own set of deliverables and the chance to take ownership of how these are achieved. Working as part of the Quality function, your role will be to analyse data on how our products perform, working closely with the markets to understand consumer feedback and insights. You will be working on analysing product data for unexpected signals, looking for opportunities to improve products and processes, supporting and maintaining existing reports and dashboards, capturing clear requirements direct from business stakeholders, creating analytical solutions that impress, inspire and become essential tools and review and deliver insightful recommendations based on analytical solutions. Working with the team and interacting across business stakeholders, you’ll be comfortable learning from others but also sharing your own knowledge, ideas and opinions. About you Our roles are competitive and delivering the next generation of Dyson technology is tough, so you will need to be: Studying towards a Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Physics or Information Systems (or related) degree. Be working towards a relevant Engineering or Science discipline, but with an interest in technical science, engineering or product development. Be in your penultimate year of your undergraduate or combined masters degree programme (exceptions allowed for 5 year programmes with a placement in the third year). Able to evidence how you have applied your technical knowledge to solve problems, either through your university projects or as part of your extra-curricular activities Happy to build your own networks to learn from the technical expertise around you. Creative problem solver with the ability to multitask in a rapidly changing environment. Passionate about Dyson and our technology to help us meet our ambitious future plans. Working for us Our internship programme connects academic theory with practical experience. Gain valuable insights into professional applications through mentorships with our industry-leading experts and exposure to cutting-edge practices. Join our internship programme to jumpstart your career. We look to offer selected high-performing interns an opportunity to return on our graduate programme. Dyson is an equal opportunity employer. We know that great minds don’t think alike, and it takes all kinds of minds to make our technology so unique. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and employment decisions are made without regard to race, colour, religion, national or ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, protected veteran status or other any other dimension of diversity. At Dyson we are focused on solving the problems that others have ignored; solving them first using our technology and ingenuity. In order to achieve this we need to pioneer technologies that are different and authentic. This is the core of what we do and who we are. We must strive to create the future, every single day by developing new things, different things, things that go against the grain with a diverse and global team of ingenious minds. Dyson employs 14,000 people and is present in more than 80 countries. And while we are growing fast we want Dyson to remain a start-up in spirit with the freedom of experimentation and learning, constantly reinventing our products as well as reinventing how we work, how we sell and how we support our owners. At the same time we are working through the James Dyson Foundation, James Dyson Award and Dyson Institute to inspire future engineers and pioneering a new approach to engineering education. Underlining everything we do in this diverse environment is the need to always show respect, supporting each other as one team to overcome whatever challenges we encounter. We drive empowerment, development and equality in an inclusive environment for our people around the world. The future doesn’t just happen, we look to make it happen, to achieve leaps through pioneering new ideas.
