Description Essential Job Functions: The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following. · Performs required tests on samples brought to the laboratory. · Keep management and production employees informed of the results of in-process testing as required. · Maintain state certification for laboratory tests requiring certification. · Run calibration standards on equipment within laboratory. · Prepare solutions and control samples needed for the various tests run in the laboratory. · Maintain neat, accurate and complete records of test data and producer records on the proper forms. · Maintain work area in a clean, safe and orderly manner. · Assist in training new laboratory employees as needed. · Minimize water usage and the generation of wastewater within the scope of the position. · Follow all Company GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with all regulatory quality and sanitation requirements. · Follow all safety regulations. · Perform all tasks as documented in standard operating procedures. · Maintain regular and punctual attendance. · Work overtime as assigned. · Ability to work cooperatively with others. · Comply with all company policies and procedures. Additional Responsibilities: Additional responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Support various company initiative and programs. Requirements Minimum Required Qualifications: The minimum required qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following: · High school graduate or equivalent required. · 2+ years of equivalent experience in a lab, specifically food industry and manufacturing facility, preferred. · Knowledge of food safety, food laboratory practices, GMP, HACCP, PMO and basic sanitation practices, preferred. · Strong analytical skills. · Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel and climb for extended hours. · Must have well developed organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle and follow through on multiple projects. · Computer skills: knowledge of Excel and Word. · Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others. · Ability to meet deadlines and work with limited supervision. · Ability to work all assigned work schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays, and comply with all time and attendance policies.
Responsibilities
