Join our team in the water industry! ControlChem is looking for a positive and energetic person to work with us in our Burlington facility (note this position is an in-person position).
Overall Responsibilities: As the Quality and Laboratory Technician for ControlChem Canada you are responsible for representing ControlChem in a positive and professional manner within all aspects of our staff, field force, clients, and vendor interactions. After training, the Quality and Laboratory Technician is responsible for duties as follows:

EDUCATION, SKILLS/EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

  • University degree or College diploma in technical related field

    Working Conditions: As the Quality and Laboratory Technician for ControlChem, a typical work day will be from 8:00AM to 4:30PM, Monday to Friday (some longer hours may be required if workload insists). You will be eligible to take two 10 minute breaks, spread out in the morning and afternoon. You will be given a 30-minute unpaid lunch as well.
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: $52,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Water sample analysis, logging and reporting e.g. titrations, jar testing, calibration, % solids etc.
  • Sending water samples out for third party analysis, tracking and documenting results
  • Lab inventory and housekeeping
  • Product files and formula organization
  • Assist with Quality planning logging and documentation for raw materials and products
  • Assist with Safety Data Sheets, Product Profiles and Product Labels management (creating, modifying, maintaining)
  • Conduct product and raw material testing and approvals
  • Continuous improvement efforts; to fulfill additional tasks and responsibilities to the best level possible, that may be assigned to you from time to time for the benefit of the clients, sales group and company.
