RELEVANT EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering or related field.
  • A combination of education, QA experience and certification(s) will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of experience with quality standards, auditing processes and in depth knowledge of industry regulations
  • Ability to travel to our other facilities and customer sites for training and collaboration (Canada-USA)
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills that support change management in a continuous improvement environment
  • Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, ideal candidate will have a Black Belt or Green Belt certification.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the Quality Pillar, ensuring products and processes meet customer expectations, minimizing waste, and driving continuous improvement through QA activities and root cause analysis.
  • Implement and monitor the Quality DMS and daily QA activities ensuring accuracy, compliance and a structured approach in collaboration with all members of the operations team
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with and conducting audits for various certifications, such as FSC and SFI.
  • Lead customer interaction with internal stakeholders to execute customer requirements, product qualifications and evaluation of plant improvement opportunities from the complaint management system
  • Establish site quality objectives regarding product issues, defective materials, customer, and supplier complaints
  • Analyze QA related data and generate reports for operators and leadership to review while providing a platform where operator input is valued and follow up is supported
  • Effectively communicate and lead the implementation of corrective actions through a change management process that demonstrates clarity, collaboration, commitment and empathetic leadership
  • Provide training and mentoring to raise awareness on QA principles and procedures that foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement
