POSITION SUMMARY:

You are a highly seasoned quality professional that is well-versed in development and execution of Quality Management strategy. Your strong aptitude for problem solving and root cause analysis is complemented with an exceptional ability to lead, build relationships, and communicate with all layers of the organization.
You will work closely with the VP Operations and Sales and Quality team to ensure overall coatings quality, and to assist in building out and executing the Colourific Quality Management System.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor of Science or Engineering, or a related degree; Chemical Engineering background preferred.
· Experience in effectively leading teams in Quality Assurance or Production in a manufacturing environment.
· Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with customers, suppliers and senior management.
· Strong solution-oriented approach, capability to implement and persistency to follow-up activities to ensure sustainability and quality.
· Experience with quality improvement tools and techniques (Lean Manufacturing, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, 5S, NCR’s & CAPA’s).
· 5+ years progressive experience in Quality Assurance.

Responsibilities

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Oversee full scope of production process to ensure quality expectations are achieved.
· Perform Root Cause Analysis on non-conforming materials, propose and implement Corrective and Preventative Actions to improve quality and address or reduce non-conformances.
· Communicate with customers regarding quality issues, and to proactively address potential quality concerns.
· Track and drive improvements in quality KPI’s and NCR’s, recommend and execute CAPA’s.
· Perform audits of production systems to ensure compliance with quality standards.
· Oversee calibration schedule of all quality and chemical technician tools and instruments.
· Ensure adherence to Quality Management System specifications and documentation.
· Oversee quality team, and provide support and training as required.
· Review and monitor performance of the quality team members, and support in team building.
· Analyze and propose continuous improvement initiatives to improve overall quality system.
· Perform quality inspections of customer materials pre-coating to ensure material is in a coatable condition.
· Disseminating quality documents to key production employees.
· Communicate with powder and chemical suppliers to ensure all product specification. information is received and distributed to team members.
· Support for AAMA Audits and Warranty documentations.
· Lead Quality updates in Daily Morning Meetings and solicit feedback from team.
