We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Manager with a strong background in gear manufacturing to join our client’s team in Elmhurst, IL. This role is critical to ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards across all stages of production. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field
  • Proven experience in quality inspection or quality management within the gear manufacturing industry
  • Strong understanding of SPC, PFMEA, and tolerance analysis
  • Experience with Six Sigma methodologies and continuous improvement practices
  • Familiarity with PPAP requirements and quality documentation standards
  • Skilled in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions

You should be proficient in:

  • 5 Why (Root Cause Analysis Method)
  • Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage quality inspection processes specific to gear manufacturing
  • Implement and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies
  • Conduct Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to proactively address quality risks
  • Perform tolerance analysis to verify compliance with product specifications
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma principles
  • Analyze quality control data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities
  • Manage and maintain Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation and compliance
  • Drive root cause investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions
