QUALITY MANAGER

Alto Construct is a privately-owned, independent civil engineering and groundworks contractor. We undertake a diverse range of projects on a nationwide basis, working for a range of Tier 1 and Tier 2 clients, with a strong pipeline of secured work.

If you have the following experience, qualifications and personal qualities, we would love to hear from you:

  • Significant experience of leading on quality management and quality control on civil engineering/groundworks/construction projects in a hands-on way.
  • Experience of leading ISO 9001:2015 in a construction organisation. ISO 900:2015 Internal Auditor certified or working towards would be desirable.
  • Have a good working knowledge of industry standards and technical specifications.
  • Hold a relevant CSCS card.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high standards and continuous improvement.
  • A confident and articulate communicator, able to build positive and constructive relationships with site teams and clients, at all levels.
  • Good IT skills. Experience of using Field View would be desirable, but not essential.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence (as travelling to site is essential)
Responsibilities
  • To develop and drive a consistent approach to quality within the business and encourage a culture of continuous improvement and a right first time approach.
  • To check Field View quality records from each site to ensure compliance with the specification.
  • To provide guidance and support to project teams on all aspects of quality management, including QITP’s and method statements to contribute to defect free delivery of our operations.
  • Manage any non-conformances, ensuring any corrective action has been taken, carrying out root cause analysis and implementing improvements to processes/procedures to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Monitor and report on quality performance, identifying any trends in non-conformance.
  • To understand client and project contractual quality requirements and provide support and advice to site teams on how to meet these.
  • Provide support to site management teams with Field View and ensure all forms/processes are set-up prior to the commencement of new projects.
  • Assist in the completion of As-Built records and any other handover requirements to the client.
  • Undertake quality audits and inspections on site, providing feedback to the site teams on any findings.
  • Maintain and improve the quality management system and ISO 9001:2015 compliance.
  • Undertake regular internal audits of our quality management system to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015.
  • Lead any on any external quality audits i.e. ISO 9001:2015.
  • Delivering training and awareness sessions on quality processes and best practice.
  • Assist with the handling of any client complaints.
  • Obtain constructive feedback from clients, taking any appropriate remedial action.
