About the role
As a Quality Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in one of the UK’s most complex and high-profile infrastructure projects - Sizewell C, supporting the successful delivery of works to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. Leading a dedicated Quality and Document Control team, you’ll ensure that all assurance activities are aligned with customer expectations, stakeholder commitments, and legislative requirements. What you’ll be doing

  • Implement the project Quality Assurance and Control strategy in line with Balfour Beatty and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and develop a team of quality professionals and document controllers.
  • Oversee the coordination, submission, and compliance of all quality and assurance documentation.
  • Conduct internal and supply chain audits; ensure effective resolution of quality issues.
  • Provide quality-related training and promote nuclear safety awareness across the project.
  • Establish and report on project KPIs to drive performance and continuous improvement.
  • Support strategic goals including safe, on-time, and right-first-time project delivery.
  • Champion collaborative working and foster strong relationships with clients and suppliers.

Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for a highly motivated individual with a proven track record in quality management within major infrastructure or nuclear environments.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant Quality, Engineering, or Construction background (Level 4+ qualification).
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor accreditation.
  • MCQI membership (or working towards).
  • Strong knowledge of ISO9000 standards and quality principles.
  • Experience leading teams and conducting audits across large-scale operations.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of project handover, change management, and KPI performance.
  • Proficient in Office 365 and information management tools.
