Position: Quality Manager
Location: The Boeing Company, Everett, WA

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Management, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate related work experience. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, the employer will accept 2 additional years of related work experience.
Must have 5 years of experience in a production-related discipline such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, or Supplier Quality.

Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Aircraft manufacturing and maintenance;
  • Leading teams in using Quality Management Systems (QMS); and
  • Performing product, process, or compliance audits of QMS.

Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
Pursuant to the Revised Code of Washington to provide the salary range, the offered wage for this role is $168,272 per year.

Responsibilities:

Manage employees to ensure products, services, and processes comply with contractual requirements, company procedures, government regulations, and engineering standards. Develop and execute business plans, policies, and procedures. Develop organizational and technical strategies to improve performance. Provide training and coaching on quality systems. Make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies. Acquire and manage resources. Lead process improvements. Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers, and direct reports. Manage, develop, and motivate employees. This position will supervise approximately 15 employees. These employees will be in the 51-9061 Inspectors, Testers, Sorters, Samplers, and Weighers classification. These professionals serve in inspecting fuselage assemblies to ensure conformance to specifications.
