Position Overview: We are looking for a Quality Manager to join our team working alongside production and engineering in ensuring that our product meets our customer expectations; this will involve leading a team of Quality Inspectors, across 3 shifts, representing this team at internal and external meetings, applying the principles of lean and continuous improvement whilst also ensuring compliance to production and quality standards and other related activities. The role will initially be working days, however, there will be a requirement to work shifts in the future (circa 2nd half of 2026; early days 0600-1400hrs Monday to Friday, and late days 1345hrs-2200hrs, Monday to Thursday & 1345hrs-1915hrs Friday).

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in a leadership/management role within a manufacturing or machining environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop employees.
  • Excellent people skills to foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Proficiency in quality management systems and tools, including statistical process control and root cause analysis.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and quality control standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

PREFERRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; or other relevant qualification plus experience.
  • Quality Leadership & Management experience, preferably in aerospace manufacturing/production environment and involving precision machining.
Responsibilities
  • Performs management activities across multiple (2 or more) Quality Management Job Families.
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System.
  • Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
