Description Boulder Imaging is seeking a Quality Manager with strong experience in the implementation, use, and maintenance of a Quality Management System. The candidate should have experience in a manufacturing environment and be able to drive Quality disciplines as well as troubleshoot and solve Quality issues in production. Additionally, the candidate will work closely with a cross-functional team to launch new products and drive process and system improvements for complex electro-mechanical optical systems in a low to medium volume production environment. Requirements Support a “Quality-at-the-source” culture. Must be able to flex from strategic vision and tactical activities Conduct gap assessment and growth of Quality Management System. Work with the cross-functional team to drive Advanced Product Quality Planning into new product launches. Work with the cross-functional team to facilitate completion of DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Quality Inspection Plans. Work with the cross-functional team to sustain robust Standardized Work Instructions. Lead a cross-functional team to troubleshoot and implement preventative and corrective actions for warranty issues. Lead the implementation of disciplined problem-solving processes. Assist the cross-functional team in the solution of production quality issues. Develop and monitor KPIs for Quality. Facilitate regular cross-functional reviews of Quality metrics and deliverables. Work with the cross-functional team to define critical requirements for products that can be translated to prints & drawings. Formalize a supplier quality process to drive the required level of incoming quality. Work with vendors to ensure proper manufacturing of components or assemblies. Support execution of our change-management system. Train production employees on key quality disciplines such as control of nonconforming materials and escalation. Work with the cross-functional team to develop and implement robust testing methods for assemblies and subassemblies in production. Develop a calibration/certification process for tools and equipment as needed. Conduct Measurement Systems Analysis. Use Lean Six Sigma and Statistical Process Control to drive reductions in process variation. Implement a process for auditing and improving production quality. Qualifications and Skills Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methods. Extensive knowledge about Quality Management Systems and their implementation. Experience in an ISO environment. Experience with Microsoft office and proficiency with Excel and pivot tables Thorough understanding of variation and statistics. Experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment. Experience with Design for Assembly/Design for Service analysis for systems. Ability to develop and implement PFMEA, Control Plan, Quality Inspection Plan. Experience with launching new products. Extensive experience with disciplined problem-solving. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems preferred. ASQ credentials/certification a plus. Education and Work Experiences Bachelor of Science in an Engineering Discipline preferred. Five-ten years of experience in manufacturing and/or assembly. Five years of experience in Quality.
