Description

The Narmco Group is an industry leader in the automotive industry for metal stamping and assembly. As a result of continuously growing our professional team, we have a challenging opportunity for Quality Manager. The candidate selected will use their knowledge and experience to manage the day-to-day functions of the Quality Department in a manufacturing facility.

Job Summary

  • Responsible for all direct reports within the Quality Department, including selecting and training staff as the need and market dictates
  • Responsible to direct their staff in organizing, planning and enhancing all the systems within the Quality function to the criteria furnished in the Corporate Policy and Procedure Manual, the Corporate Quality Assurance Manual, Quality Procedure Manual and Quality Control Instruction Manual
  • Responsible for customer scorecards and dealing with quality related issues both in-plant and at the customer, issuing corrective actions as necessary
  • Responsible to contribute to the Continuous Improvement Program within their facility and recommend Continuous Improvement Methods to the other Departments within the facility
  • Responsible for maintaining all departmental budgets relating to Quality
  • Responsible for the total co-ordination of the Quality Management System throughout the facility according to the Group’s philosophies

Job Requirements

  • College or University engineering graduate, with a focus in Quality Engineering, Engineering Technology/Automotive option, or equivalent training and experience
  • A.S.Q.C Certified (C.Q.E) is an asset
  • 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role in a IATF / ISO environment – automotive preferred
  • Experience in metal stampings and/or welded assemblies is an asset
  • Knowledge of modern Statistical Methods – SPC, DOE, Metrology & Testing, GD&T
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team with solid leadership and communication skills
