Job Title: Quality Manager
Location: Cental Engineering (HV and Data Center Modular Build Solutions)
Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Lead Auditor certification in ISO 9001 is essential.
  • EN 1090 certification or extensive experience managing EN 1090 compliance in manufacturing.
  • Six Sigma or Lean certification is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of managing ISO 9001 and EN 1090 certifications and compliance.
  • Hands-on experience in conducting audits, managing QMS documentation, and liaising with external auditors.
  • Experience working directly with customers to resolve quality issues and deliver quality documentation.

Skills & Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and EN 1090 standards and their application within engineering or manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of Lean and continuous improvement principles and how they apply to quality management.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with both internal teams and external customers.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities with an analytical mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with quality management software and systems.

Responsibilities
  1. Quality Management Systems (QMS):
  • Develop, implement, and maintain ISO 9001 and EN 1090-compliant quality management systems.
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with all regulatory standards and customer specifications.
  • Create and enforce policies and procedures that promote compliance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
  1. Documentation & Compliance:
  • Oversee the preparation and review of documentation required for compliance with ISO 9001 and EN 1090 standards, including quality manuals, control plans, inspection protocols, and certifications.
  • Ensure that all project documentation, including inspection reports, compliance certificates, and delivery documents, meet customer requirements and statutory regulations.
  • Lead the creation of clear, accurate, and timely reporting systems to track and document all quality activities.
  1. Customer Liaison:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding quality-related matters.
  • Collaborate with customers during pre-qualification, project initiation, and throughout the project lifecycle to ensure their quality expectations are met.
  • Provide customers with detailed quality reports, compliance documentation, and certificates, fostering strong and transparent relationships.
  1. Continuous Improvement & Lean:
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives to drive waste reduction, improve process efficiency, and enhance overall product quality.
  • Work closely with the operations, engineering, and project management teams to integrate Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies into daily practices.
  • Use data-driven analysis (e.g., root cause analysis, 8D, FMEA) to identify and resolve quality issues and prevent reoccurrence.
  1. Training & Leadership:
  • Train and mentor staff across the organization on quality management systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Foster a culture of quality awareness, engagement, and accountability among all employees.
  • Lead a small team of quality professionals, ensuring they have the tools and resources to effectively support production and customer needs.
  1. Risk Management & Problem Solving:
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate quality risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring products are delivered to specification, on time, and within budget.
  • Coordinate problem-solving initiatives to resolve quality issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Engage in regular cross-functional communication with manufacturing, design, and project teams to identify and address potential quality concerns early in the process.
