C-P Flexible Packaging is a successful and fast-growing essential manufacturing company that uses an impressive array of digital pre-press and wide-web flexographic printing capabilities and extrusion and adhesive laminators to produce creative flexible packaging solutions for our customers. With a primary focus on serving the food industry, C-P specializes in roll stock, pouches, re-sealable packaging and shrink sleeves. The Quality Control (QC) Manager is responsible for all aspects of quality control and will supervise the quality control department, which includes handling all personnel and policies and day-to-day quality assurance activities. QC Managers ensure their teams follow established rules for handling quality control issues; these rules are meant to address quality issues in a timely manner while retaining profitability. They assign work to employees and oversee schedules under the guidance of their manager and HR guidelines. They are responsible for training new employees in the department on proper testing procedures and safety habits and for offering both feedback on procedures and recommending improvements. Additionally, QC Managers implement testing procedures as outlined by their manager and according to industry standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • The successful candidate must have a strong attention to detail and be familiar with inspection techniques and quality standards.
  • Must have leadership skills and be able to lead a team.
  • Minimum of Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and industry experience
  • BRC/SQF/HACCP training preferred or willingness to be HACCP/BRC trained/certified.
  • Strong communication skills: Ability to read, write and speak for company communications; work orders, SOP’s, customer interactions, data/job order entry.
  • Experience/proficiency with PC, mouse, and keyboard.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software is a strong plus.
  • Experience dealing with customers and suppliers.
  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of times.
  • Must be able to move and lift up to 40 lbs.

Pay: $80,000-100,000 annually
The salary range indicated in the posting represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position. Actual salary will vary depending on budget available, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components may include participation in our bonus program, group health, dental, and vision insurance, 401k plan, paid time off, and paid holidays

Responsibilities
  • Recommend manufacturing or technology aids to increase speed and efficiency of quality product.
  • Supervise the selection, workflow, training, and development of QC staff.
  • Assess production process issue and recommend improvements.
  • Supervise product testing to ensure procedure accuracy.
  • Assist in developing/implementing quality assurance programs to meet production standards and customer requirements
