Creative Business Innovations is seeking a dynamic Quality Manager for our Client, a Tier 1 Honda Supplier in East Liberty, OH to lead their quality assurance initiatives. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Address non-conformities from previous internal and external audits.
  • Conduct management reviews of the Quality System.
  • Follow-up and close pending Preventive and Corrective Action Requests.
  • Ensure that quality systems and training is in place.
  • Prepare organization for ISO 9001 & 14000 audit.
  • Administer document control and quality management system.
  • Oversee established calibration and testing program.
  • Assist the management team and provide QC support as necessary.
  • Hands on and working knowledge required of each station/area.
  • Knowledge of computer systems; familiar with Microsoft Office products

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Safety apparel (PPE) and uniform mandatory.
  • Must be able to continuously lift 30 to 75 lbs., and occasionally carry a distance of 30 to 50 feet.
  • Tasks that require continuous reaching, kneeling, grasping, twisting, bending, leaning and extension of upper body.
  • Perform job requirements of a Production Associate as needed.
  • Work assigned shift to include overtime, up to and including production Saturdays, shutdown days, and holidays as needed.
  • Lead and support all company policies including ISO 9001 2008/ISO 14000 and QOS adherence (where applicable) and MAI Companies’ (GLA, GSA, IA) Associate Handbook and Safety Manual.

QUALIFICATION (EDUCATION / TRAINING)

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, a related technical field and equivalent 8 to 10 years of work experience in Quality Control or quality management, experience in a manufacturing environment.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION

Plan and manage activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products.

TASKS OF THE POSITION

  • Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
  • Manage workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity.
  • Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability of finished products.
  • Provide technical and statistical expertise to teams.
  • Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.
  • Manage objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other department managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
  • Create, document and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
  • Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel within Company.
  • Oversee inspection activity for product throughout production cycle.
  • Apply total quality management tools.
  • Interact with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts.
  • Design, develop and implement quality control training programs.
  • Lead, participate and support activities within the Plant, to include 5S, Kaizen, Quick Hits, Six Sigma, and other related continuous improvement events.
