We are seeking a skilled Quality Manager to oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance and safety programs. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, monitors product safety, and supervises related teams to uphold operational excellence.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5 years in managing quality and/or safety programs, with 2+ years in a supervisory role; 2-3 years in manufacturing lab experience preferred.
SKILLS:
Knowledge of HACCP, OSHA standards, and quality assurance procedures.
Ability to monitor fermentation processes and adjust as needed.
Proficiency in creating computerized production and inventory reports.
Develop and document quality and safety procedures in line with certifying agency and OSHA standards.
Monitor and enforce quality standards for raw materials, finished products, and inventory through inspections and audits.
Implement and oversee food safety systems, including HACCP, internal auditor programs, and compliance with Preventive Controls for Human Food, Food Defense, GMP, and sanitation training.
Plan, establish, and maintain occupational health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure employee safety and product quality.
Ensure compliance with federal and state health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations.
Supervise Safety Coordinator, Quality Control Associate(s), and Janitorial positions.
Prepare quality and safety reports by analyzing data, trends, and incident reports, and recommend corrective actions.
Conduct training on safety programs and enforce the use of personal protective equipment.
Lead product recalls, resolve customer concerns, and prepare for OSHA inspections.
Maintain quality documentation, update procedures, and collaborate with operations teams to enhance processes
