Description GTA Containers, a leading defense contractor, is seeking a highly motivated Quality Manager to join our manufacturing team. The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining GTA Containers, LLC's Quality Management Systems (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. This role ensures that products and processes consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement initiatives. The position is instrumental in fostering a culture of quality and environmental responsibility throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities: 1. Quality Systems Management: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliant Quality and Environmental Management Systems. Develop, document, and update policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure compliance with standards. Conduct regular internal audits to monitor compliance and effectiveness. 2. Continuous Improvement: Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes. Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements. Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to achieve quality and environmental objectives. 3. Training and Development: Train and mentor employees on QMS and EMS standards, tools, and best practices. Promote awareness of customer requirements and environmental policies across all levels of the organization. 4. Regulatory and Customer Compliance: Ensure all products meet applicable regulatory, customer, and internal requirements. Act as the primary contact for customer and third-party audits, certifications, and inquiries related to quality and environmental systems. 5. Leadership and Reporting: Lead the Quality team, providing guidance and performance management. Prepare and present quality performance metrics and reports to senior management. Serve as a key stakeholder in strategic planning for quality and environmental initiatives. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, Environmental Science, or a related field or equivalent work experience. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality management role, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity. Proven experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems. Experience in manufacturing or a related industry is highly desirable. Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Proficiency in quality management software and tools. Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirements. Ability to travel occasionally for audits, training, or customer meetings. Certifications: Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or equivalent preferred. ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification is a plus. Work Environment: Work performed in a controlled manufacturing environment. Regular exposure to water, pressurized systems, and fuel during testing and assembly processes.
