Job Details Job Location: IEA Kenosha Plant - Kenosha, WI 53144 Job Summary: The Quality Manager leads the development, implementation, and oversight of ISO and Quality programs at the Kenosha and Somers facility. Acting as the ISO Quality Management Representative, this role ensures compliance with internal and external quality standards, manages the Quality team, and serves as the final authority to halt production or shipment of nonconforming products. The position also supports strategic initiatives aligned with operational goals and customer satisfaction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, with other duties assigned as necessary: Quality System Leadership Oversee ISO 9001 and QMS implementation and maintenance. Serve as liaison between top management and all departments regarding quality. Lead internal audits, management reviews, and third-party ISO registration. Promote quality awareness and customer requirements across the organization. Operational Quality Management Manage supplier quality, product traceability, process control, and corrective actions. Review design documentation and vendor quality records. Apply SPC methods and analyze data to improve processes. Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and manufacturing to resolve quality issues. Team & Talent Development Supervise Quality Control, Technical, and Service & Warranty teams. Interview, hire, train, and evaluate staff performance. Conduct quality training and team-building activities. Champion continuous improvement and Six Sigma initiatives. Strategic & Technical Oversight Develop and present quality objectives and reports. Lead quality planning for new technologies and product introductions. Align quality practices with advanced manufacturing and sustainability goals. Maximum moving requirement (pounds): 25 (seldom). Maintaining physical condition necessary for the following: Frequent standing, walking, or sitting; infrequent kneeling, crouching, stooping, squatting, twisting upper body, or climbing. Working at heights off the ground up to 20 feet (seldom). Vision requirements: Close, distance, and peripheral vision; depth perception. Travel: Domestic and international travel—1-5 days, 5-15+ days (rarely). Qualifications Work Environment: Work location(s): Office; metal fabrication/assembly shop; field visits to customer/supplier sites including domestic/international travel. Exposure to: Fumes, airborne particles, wet/humid (non-weather) conditions, toxic/caustic chemicals, moving mechanical parts/equipment, inclement weather conditions when in shop areas. Personal protective equipment requirement: Safety glasses when in shop areas. Additional equipment as per job site/length of stay requirements Key skills, abilities, and knowledge: Extensive knowledge of quality practices and procedures including metrics and statistical analyses. Ability to communicate (oral/written). Ability to direct and lead subordinates and others safely and efficiently. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees, customers, suppliers, etc. Ability to plan, organize and direct multiple work activities simultaneously. Knowledge of heat transfer theory and radiator assembly and construction desired. Working knowledge of operating parameters of Company products and related equipment desired. Working knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts preferably. Ability to read, understand and interpret field documents, shop drawings and blueprints. Ability to use various measuring tools including caliper, tape, micrometer, CMM. Knowledge of occupational hazards and the ability to follow safe work practices. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Experiential: Five or more years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment, including maintenance and implementation of ISO 9001 and updates thereof. Education and Credentialing: Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing management, Industrial Technology, Engineering or a related field, Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt desirable. An MBA is desirable.
