QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years quality experience in implementing and/or maintaining quality management systems in the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with ISO 9001-2015 required;
  • Internal Auditor certification considered and asset,
  • Knowledge of standard HSE requirements and practices in the manufacturing and offshore services industry considered an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Review and build upon the company’s quality management standards by overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of a leading quality management system.
  • Build upon and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals and quality procedures.
  • Document quality assurance activities with internal reporting and audits.
  • Develop new standards for production and design, with improvements as needed, and create testing protocols for implementation across all business lines.
  • Ensure that products and processes comply with requirements of the quality management system.
  • Investigate customer complaints due to product or service quality, including ongoing contact with suppliers, customers, engineering, customer service and sales as well as the production group.
  • Proactively investigate root cause for non-conformance and/or improvement in product or service quality.
  • Perform or assist in root-cause analysis, corrective actions, follow up and reporting.
  • Set requirements for suppliers and monitor their compliance to company standards.
  • Supervise inspectors and testers, provide guidance and feedback.
  • Identify training needs and take action to ensure company-wide compliance.
  • Pursue continuing education on new solutions, technology, and skills.
