Overview
MasTec Industrial is looking for a Senior Quality Manager to spearhead our Quality Program across dynamic, high-impact construction projects. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead quality initiatives, mentor a team of quality professionals, and drive excellence on complex, large-scale projects. You’ll be the go-to expert ensuring our projects meet the highest standards, with the opportunity to manage multiple sites and influence strategic decisions. If you’re a seasoned Quality Manager ready to step into a leadership role with growing responsibility and visibility, this is your moment.
Location & Travel Details: You can be based in any city or state in the U.S.. This is a traveling, project based position, up to 90% of the time. You have the potential to be placed on a project site located in any state throughout the US. You’ll spend 8-18 months on average per project. We offer designated per diem in addition to an excellent base salary to support and help you cover living expenses. This position is eligible for mobilization support (may include mileage reimbursement), and includes one longer weekend every four weeks for additional time at home.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of ten years of quality experience in construction or operations with exposure to civil, electrical, mechanical, pipeline/oil/gas, industrial, and welding activities
  • Must have extensive working knowledge and be able to proficiently navigate and interpret the following codes: ASME codes i.e., B31.1, B31.3, ASME Section 1, 5, VIII Div. 1 etc., IX, AWS codes i.e., D1.1, D1.3, D1.6, AISC, ASNT, NEC, NFPA, NBIC and ACI regulations.
  • AWS CWI required. Alternate certifications may be considered
  • Ability to work with Project Quality Sponsors to execute Code work utilizing Mastec’s ASME Code Stamps i.e., “S, U, R, NB” Code Stamps. He/She will have to work within Code Boundaries and the AIA – HSBCT.
  • Prior proven experience leading large projects and teams in an Industrial setting
  • Extreme proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams, and Power Point
  • Demonstrated experience with construction management software platforms
  • Proven capabilities with Bluebeam Revu
  • Preferred experience with Smartsheet and InEight software

Qualifications

  • Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.
  • Write reports, business correspondence and document quality related issues and activities
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from project managers, superintendents, clients, customers and the general public
  • Effectively communicate and develop positive working relationships with the owner, owner’s representative, and the Company’s site supervision, in order to facilitate the quality objectives
  • Work independently and productively, ensuring the resources assigned to the project are adequate and properly trained for the task
  • Be self-motivated and capable of taking initiative
  • Apply critical thinking skills to establish effective corrective actions for causal factors of quality incidents
  • Possess diplomatic skills for addressing Quality and Safety issues with both internal and external parties
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
