Quality Manager/Technical Services Manager
Hamilton
$100k-$115k

Duties:

  • Manage and develop company’s technical and quality resources to support its business strategy and objectives.
  • Supervise, motivate and guide the activities of the Laboratory, Quality Assurance and Customer Service Personnel, Process Engineer.
  • Responsible for the management of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality System.

•Establish standard manufacturing practices together with specifications and quality standards to ensure efficient and economic production within customer requirements. •Monitor adherence to established practices to ensure that any failure to meet standards is investigated and corrective action given and action taken to achieve the required specification.

  • Monitor quality performance and recovery rates; direct investigations and developments aimed at improved recovery.
  • Represent company in technical matters with its suppliers, its owners and the associations that company is a member of.
  • Recommend the selection and training of personnel for the technical and quality departments to meet the requirements of the business.
  • Ensure the implementation and enforcement of policies, procedures and training which safeguard the health and safety of personnel and protects the environment.

•Program design, program implementation ensuring appropriate employee engagement, project identification. Project prioritization, improvement tools training, systematic project tracking and reporting to monitor, analyze and address performance indicator trends •Lead the implementation of CI projects to deliver industry leading results.

  • Train and coach personnel in the CI suite of tools/methods used to continuously improve performance.
  • Lead and facilitate larger improvement projects.
  • Implementation and ongoing management / optimization of advanced QA equipment/systems Requirements:
  • A university degree in a related field preferred
  • 5-7+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment and management experience as a technical leader
  • Champion of process control and continuous improvement techniques
  • Quality systems knowledge with a dynamic communication style, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels
